Sephardic Jewelry launch!
By Shebrew
Shebrew saluts Bryce Gruber who just released her new line of semi-precious jewelry, Salonika, to the upscale and trendy New York crowd. The name Salonika comes from her father’s Turkish/Sephardic heritage in the city once known as Salonika (it is now modern day Greece’s Thessaloniki). The city’s rich history is one of peace between the several cultures that lived there. Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived side by side in peach for centuries, undisturbed. Bryce loves the idea of tranquility, and this is obviously reflected in her thoughtful jewelry. Salonika’s collection features unique, hand-picked semi-precious stones on brushed copper chains, suede, and more.
Stones include polished jades, cut amethysts, agates dyed to beautiful shades of magenta and blue, and exquisite precision-cut howlite (similar to turquoise). All the pieces have an antiqued feeling thanks to the special attention given to each necklace and bracelet.
No two pieces are the same, so they are individually numbered as if they are art. All the pieces look great dressed up or dressed down. So whether you are in your favorite jeans and high boots, or a gorgeous knee-length dress, the Salonika collection will complement your best features!
The jewelry is sold primarily by custom-order (you pick your favorite colors, and use your wrist or neck measurements), but will also soon be available in several high-end boutiques around the world. New York, Beverly Hills, Miami, Washington DC, and Boston will be amongst the first cities to carry the line. The collection has a great celebrity following, ranging from Hollywood to the tennis courts and beyond (use your imagination… we can’t name names)! Are you thinking nothing could be better? Well, good news, the prices are totally within reach. Prices for most items fall in the $95 (for a suede and stone necklace) to $250 range.

You can contact Bryce directly through her website at www.SalonikaLTD.com to place an order. Custom orders take 2-3 weeks to deliver, so place your Chanukkah orders soon!
Bryce has contributed to Shebrew before, we can’t wait to catch up with her, and ask her how she did all this!
