Wintry Mix
By ShebrewAre the winter blues getting you down?
No worries, because SHEBREW is here to help you revive your skin and help you feel normal again.
My chapped lips are killing me and it seems like the lipbalm I use is only making it worse!
Darling, remember, never ever use flavored lipbalm in cold or windy weather. While the delicious strawberry may perk up your mood, it also makes you lick your lips more, which is trouble.
A great solution for chapped, cracked, painful lips is Rosebud Salve. It contains healing rosebud and goes on clear and flavorless. It also gives you a gorgeous glow when dabbed on cheekbones, and smudges a perfect rock-star smoky eye.

Help, Shebrew! My skin is dry, I’m breaking out all over and my face looks weird and blotchy.
Sweetness, no worries. While I certainly cannot advise about the weirdness, the rest is easy to fix! Winter is very rough on our skin – I mean, you don’t really need me to tell you that. The heating dries out the skin, and then the cold air sucks out the rest of moisture. The problem is that if you have normal or oily skin and go you for a heavy moisturizer, it may clog your pores – cue the breaking out.
For normal/ oily skin:
Every evening wash your face with a moisturizing wash, like Biore Shine Control Cream Cleanser. Day and night apply your favorite moisturizer. Shebrew loves Vichy Normaderm – available in drugstores, see www.vichy.com for stores. Light anti-blemish moisturizer absorbs in mere seconds, evens out skin tone and makes your skin matte and clear.

For dry skin:
Wash your face with a creamy gentle cleanser, like Eucerin Pore-Purifying Foaming wash or Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. Follow with a moisturizer – check out Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizer.
Invest in a humidifier.
Don’t kiss in the wind.
Dry you face before leaving the house.
Stay warm.
Love,
Shebrew.
